I love your insights. I heard Chade-Meng Tan (mindfulness guru) say if the mind is like a flag flapping in a hurricane of emotion, mindfulness is like the flagpole. I thought, good point, but what is your flagpole grounded in?

Also, if even Jesus, God in the flesh, needed his solitude/prayer time to function down here, how much more do I need it?

I find God when I’m alone like this, and I feel His presence and I talk to Him . I find no better peace and joy. A peace that nothing or anyone else could give me .

The mindfulness that is being sold on the internet is from eastern mysticism, so it's important to counter it and caution people about it. Also, what you have highlighted, together with meditating on the word of God, when translated to mindfulness can easily confuse people, even though we know that it may mean one and the same thing. Lets just not stumble the little ones just to prove a point. My thought...
